In the Polesie National Park (website: www.poleskipn.pl – access on 28.03.2015) appropriate provisions on the opening the Park apply (Ordinance No. 4/2012 of the Director of the Polesie National Park of 02.01.2012 on the opening the Park for scientific, educational, touristic, recreational purposes as well as fishing without a license). These are some provisions of this Ordinance:
- in the Polesie National Park the regulations on opening the Park for scientific, educational, touristic, recreational purposes as well as fishing without a license apply,
- the Park’s area is made available for scientific, educational, touristic, recreational purposes as well as fishing without a license, provided that performed in such a manner which does not exert negative influence on the nature of the Park,
- tourist movement within the Park’s area is allowed during the whole year from dawn till twilight,
- in the areas accepted for both group and individual sightseeing one should only use marked-out tourist trails and nature paths,
- admission to the National Park or to some of its areas as well as opening the National Park or some of its areas and objects is payable; fees in the amount stipulated by the Park’s Director apply,
- admission to the following footpaths is payable: “Dominik the Oak”, “Spławy”, “Perehod” Nature Trails, “Insurgent Camp Trail” Nature-Historical Path,
- opening the Educational-Museum Centre in Załucze Stare, the Teaching and Administrative Centre of the Polesie National Park in Urszulin is payable,
- free of charge are: admission to the following footpaths: “Dominik the Oak”, “Spławy”, “Perehod”, “Insurgent Camp Trail” for: children up to the age of 7, people having permit from the Polesie National Park’s Director for conducting scientific research on environmental protection, school pupils and students during their classes in the Polesie National Park within the scope arranged with the Director, people on their way to places of worship, inhabitants of communes situated within the boundaries of the Polesie National Park as well as communes bordering the Park, i.e.: Urszulin, Sosnowica, Stary Brus, Hańsk, Wierzbica, Ludwin, Sawin,
- no fees are charged for: admission to the nature paths in the Park: cycling nature path “The Mietiułka Trail” and nature path “The Little Turtle Trail”,
- no fees are charged for: admission to the following tourist trails: Blue (Pieszowola – Wytyczno), Yellow (Wołoskowola – Museum of the Park in Stare Załucze), the Partisan Red Trail (Urszulin – Museum of the Park), Red Trail near the complex of the Bubnów Marsh, Yellow Trail near the complex of the Bubnów Marsh, the “Nałęcz” Nature and History Black Trail (Sosnowica – Jamniki), the Poleski Horse-riding Trail,
- no fees are charged for: admission to the blue tourist trails,
- opening the Educational-Museum Centre in Stare Załucze for children up to the age of 7 in family groups, groups and individuals having permit from the Park’s Director is free of charge,
- opening the Teaching and Administrative Centre of the Polesie National Park in Urszulin for inhabitants of communes situated within the boundaries of the Polesie National Park as well as communes bordering the Park, i.e.: Urszulin, Sosnowica, Stary Brus, Hańsk, Wierzbica, Ludwin, Sawin (excluding opening rooms for conferences, seminars, workshops and trainings), groups and individuals having permit from the Park’s Director is free of charge,
- residential tourism in the Park is allowed exclusively in places of recreation upon fee,
- groups comprising of over 10 people are obliged (while being on nature paths) to take the services provided by guides who additionally have the permit issued by the Polesie National Park’s Director to conduct classes in advantage,
- groups up to 10 people can use the nature paths without a guide,
- opening the Park’s areas outside the nature paths and tourist trails for the purpose of photographing and filming as well as recording sounds and performing artistic works is only allowed after having paid an appropriate fee or on the basis of a separate agreement,
- photographing and filming as well as recording sounds and performing artistic works on nature paths and observation towers is allowed after having paid fees whereas on tourist trails is free of charge,
- within the area of the Park people are obliged to adhere to the provisions on environmental protection, especially the Act of 16. April 2004 on environmental protection as well as submitting to the instructions of the Polesie National Park Field Services. Any infringement of rules and provisions applying in the Polesie National Park shall be subjected to criminal liability.
- the whole nature of the National Park is protected, mushroom picking or picking of any other fruits of the undergrowth (apart from designated areas), picking plants, fishing (apart from designated areas), catching wild animals, scaring them away or killing, collecting the antlers of deer, destroying dens and breeding grounds of animals as well as bird nests including collecting eggs from these nests is prohibited.
